What is family medicine 

The field of medicine known as family medicine actually provides continuous and comprehensive care to patients as well as their families. It combines the biological, clinical and the behavioural sciences in the field of family medicine. It is a vast field of study thus attracting more medical practitioners to take up this course. The range of family medicine encompasses patients of all ages regardless of gender and their body concerns thus covering all sorts of illness and diseases 

Differences between internal medicine and family medicine 

Internal medicine and family medicine are frequently confused by people thinking it is actually the same but it is actually not.  Despite the fact that both specialties deal with a wide range of health concerns and both the internal and family doctors are primary care providers and  handle both children and adults. A lot of family medicine specialists have additional education in gynaecological and/or obstetrical care.
